Who do you say that I am?

Jesus made some radical statements during his time on Earth. Most notably, he often referred to himself as "The Son of Man". This phrase was not used any other times in scripture and was unique to the person of Jesus. When he says this, Jesus is referring to his earthly life, future life, and a time before he was conceived.

Jesus asked his disciples "Who do you say that I am?" and he asks us that every day of our life. Do you trust me? With your future, your life, do you trust that I am as good as I proclaim to be? Following Jesus is a risk, and it certainly is more for some than others. However, it's a matter of accepting his place in our lives more than running away from it. Jesus is at the center regardless, it's up to us what we do with it.
